Keep Smithton Beautiful and Safe this Summer!

Grass and Weeds:  All properties must keep grass and weeds trimmed to six inches (6") or less!

Please do not blow or leave grass clippings on sidewalks or in streets!  The not only create a safety hazard, but they clogged the storm drains!

​Open Burning: No open burning is permitted in the Borough.  Only small, contained firepits suitable for cooking are allowed. 

Pet Waste: Please clean up after your dog during walks.

Sidewalks:  Please maintain your sidewalks!  It's not only a Borough ordinance, its a state law!  Property owners are responsible for keeping their sidewalks in safe conditions.

Property Clean-up: Please help maintain the appearance and safety of our community by keeping your property free of debris, trash, abandoned vehicles, appliances, furniture, and other discarded items. Proper upkeep helps prevent hazards, supports neighborhood pride, and ensures compliance with Borough property‑maintenance codes.
